This webinar will review the laws and regulations for special education and related services for students who have disabilities. It will provide practical tools to assist the participants in understanding the importance of securing appropriate services and supports for students with disabilities. This is an introductory level course.
- Identify at least one of the "Purposes" stated in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
- Name the two primary Federal laws that have an effect of special education and other services for persons with disabilities.
- Identify at least 4 of the special education disability categories in Massachusetts.
- Name 3 examples of related services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
