Jennifer Willis, MS, ToD
Jennifer Willis is the Project Coordinator for Connections Beyond Sight and Sound (the MD/DC Deafblind Project). She has a Masters Degree in Elementary Deaf Education, teaching certifications in Special Ed/Deaf Education and Early Childhood, and she received the previously titled Perkins-Roman Endorsement in Cortical Visual Impairment. Her main focus is educating deaf children with disabilities/deafblind, including those with complex communication needs.
Christopher Russell, MS. Ed., TVI
Christopher Russell, MS. Ed., TVI. Chris currently works as a special education teacher and teacher of students with visual impairments in New York City Department of Education’s Hospital Schools. He previously served as Project Coordinator for the New York Deaf-Blind Collaborative for 8 years. He is adjunct faculty at Hunter College in the graduate programs for Blindness/Visual Impairment and Severe & Multiple Disabilities including Deafblindness, and holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Queens College.
SLP/BCBA; SLP Kate Grandbois (she/her) & Amy Wonkka (she/her)
Kate and Amy are co-founders of SLP Nerdcast. Kate is a dually certified SLP / BCBA who works primarily as an "AAC Specialist." She owns a private practice with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, augmentative alternative communication intervention and assessment, and consultation. Amy is an SLP who also works as an "AAC Specialist" in a public school setting. Amy's primary interests are AAC, typical language development, motor speech, phonology, data collection, collaboration, coaching, and communication partner training and support.
