"Thank you for making this excellent, research-based learning opportunity that is both extremely accessible and affordable. This is the best kind of PD: it’s one hour at a time so I can learn and then have time to synthesize and apply. It provides information I can apply to my practice immediately; and I can listen and learn while I drive, fold laundry, etc. thanks for the research and resources!"

Ronan Miller, PhD

Ronan Miller, PhD in specific didactics with a focus on language learning and stuttering. I completed my PhD in 2020, researching the experiences of people who stutter in foreign language learning. Subsequently, I held a postdoctoral research assistant role at the University of Reading, working under Dr. David Ward at the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences. At BeneTalk, I am part of the development team behind Penguin and SuperPenguin mobile apps, designed to support caregivers of children who stutter. I am a person who stutters and have volunteered with organizations such as STAMMA, Action for Stammering Children, and the Spanish Stammering Foundation. I also served as a moderator at Stutter Social for five years, supporting the stuttering community.

Jaclyn Morton, BSc(Hons), MSc, MRCSLT

Jaclyn Morton, Speech and Language Therapist (BSc(Hons) MSc MRCSLT) - I work as an independent Speech and Language Therapist, with children who stutter and their families, having worked in the NHS for 15 years. I present workshops through STAMMA to help parents become more comfortable with stammering and empowering them in their role of supporting their child as a confident communicator. I also volunteer on the STAMMA helpline services. At BeneTalk, I write content for Penguin and SuperPenguin mobile apps. These apps are designed to be a support and guide to caregivers and important adults of the child who stutters.
