Shequria Williams, MS, CCC-SLP

Shequria Williams is a CCC, SLP residing in Knoxville Tennessee. She received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa. She has been practicing as a SLP for 14 years with Sidekick Therapy Partners, where she serves as Sr. Director of Clinical Services and as a treating SLP. As Sr. Director of Clinical Services, Shequria is responsible for planning and overseeing the delivery of patient care services, developing, updating, and implementing clinical policies and procedures according to company standards for excellent service and growth, consulting with leadership, clinic staff, school clients, TEIS staff, and teammates on patient care and interpretation of policies to ensure teammate and client needs are met, budgeting, and coach Clinical Leads and other Sidekick clinical leaders in clinical situations, providing supervisory crisis coverage when needed. Shequria is a member of TAASLP, the Tennessee Association of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologist. She is currently representing TAASLP as a state advocate and currently holds the title of SEAL, State Education Advocacy Leader, for the state of Tennessee. She also serves as SEAL Regional Champion for the southern region of the United States. She works to tackle issues related to caseload and workload, SLP shortages in the school system, salary supplements, and maintenance and personal standards in the school setting. ​Shequria was recently named one of the recipients of the Distinguished Service Awards by TAASLP.

SLP/BCBA; SLP Kate Grandbois (she/her) & Amy Wonkka (she/her)

Kate and Amy are co-founders of SLP Nerdcast. Kate is a dually certified SLP / BCBA who works primarily as an "AAC Specialist." She owns a private practice with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, augmentative alternative communication intervention and assessment, and consultation. Amy is an SLP who also works as an "AAC Specialist" in a public school setting. Amy's primary interests are AAC, typical language development, motor speech, phonology, data collection, collaboration, coaching, and communication partner training and support.

Meet your Instructors

Jennifer Henderson, M.Ed., CCC-SLP

Jennifer Henderson is a CCC, SLP in Knoxville, Tennessee. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Valdosta State University and joined Sidekick Therapy Partners, formerly Curlee Communication Consultants, in 2009. At Sidekick, Jennifer provides evaluations and treatments for adults with cognitive and dysphagia challenges through home health services, as well as speech and language services for children from birth to twelfth grade. She has worked with residents at a psychiatric treatment facility supporting those with Autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Jennifer currently serves as Quality Assurance Lead and Clinical Lead. She conducts annual reviews, collaborates on policies/procedures, and assists with managing day-to-day operations within Sidekick. As a member of the Tennessee Association of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists (TAASLP), Jennifer serves as a State Advocate for Medicare Policy (StAMP), providing guidance on coverage and reimbursement issues.

Kacey Hammonds, MS, CCC-SLP

Kacey Hammonds is a CCC, SLP residing in Kingsport, Tennessee. She received her Bachelor's degree from Radford University and Master's Degree from the University of Tennessee. She has been practicing as an SLP for 6 years. She began her career as a CF for Sidekick Therapy Partners, formally known as Curlee Communication Consultants. Throughout her time with Sidekick, she has provided evaluations and therapeutic treatment for adult cognitive and dysphagia clients via home health service delivery and speech and language services to the birth to three population in their natural environments. She has also provided speech, language, and fluency evaluations and therapies to school age students from preschool to middle school. Through Sidekick, Kacey has served students in multiple counties across East TN, including Hamblen, Greene, and Kingsport City schools, among many others. Her leadership roles at Sidekick include District Coordinator of Kingsport City Schools and Washington Co Schools, and now Clinical Lead. ​As District Coordinator and Clinical Lead, Kacey provides expertise and advice on team schedules, including guidance on placement, coverage, growth, and ensuring therapists schedule preferences are considered. She also shares advice on clinical direction and coaching to Sidekick SLPs across Upper East Tennessee.​ Kacey is a member of TAASLP, the Tennessee Association of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologist. She is currently representing TAASLP as a state advocate and currently holds the title of STAR, State Advocate for Reimbursement for the state of Tennessee. She works to provide leadership, guidance, and support on topics related to coverage, reimbursement, and the delivery of services under state Medicaid programs and private payers.

Jessica Lenden-Holt, MA, CCC-SLP

Jessica Lenden-Holt is the Chief Clinical Officer for Sidekick Therapy Partners, Tennessee's largest pediatric private practice. She also serves as Vice President of Legislative Affairs for the Tennessee Association of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists (TAASLP), Chair of the Philanthropy Board at East Tennessee State University’s College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences, and Co-Founder of Dream Team Adapted Sports, which offers free athletic camps for children. A Whittle Scholar, Lenden-Holt earned honors degrees from the University of Tennessee, including a B.A. in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and a B.A. in Spanish. She completed her M.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, focusing on Bilingualism and Multicultural Studies, at the University of Texas-Austin. Lenden-Holt worked for seven years on the Texas-Mexico border providing therapeutic services to children with disabilities before returning to Tennessee in 2014, where she has advocated for speech-language pathologists and their clients. In her role at Sidekick Therapy Partners, Lenden-Holt oversees clinical policies, therapeutic service delivery, and leadership support for over 125 therapists in various settings. She has delivered over 100 presentations on interdisciplinary practice, ethics, multicultural issues, bilingualism, evidence-based practice, leadership, and advocacy. As TAASLP’s VP of Legislative Affairs, Lenden-Holt leads advocacy efforts for audiologists and speech-language pathologists, collaborating with state organizations to enhance healthcare access. Her work has earned her several honors, including the 2023 Hall of Fame Inductee at East Tennessee State University, ASHA Innovator (2023), 40 Under 40 Awards from both the University of Tennessee Knoxville (2023) and the Business Journal of the Tri-Cities (2022), and the Hometown Hero Award in Elizabethton, TN (2018).
