"Thank you for making this excellent, research-based learning opportunity that is both extremely accessible and affordable. This is the best kind of PD: it’s one hour at a time so I can learn and then have time to synthesize and apply. It provides information I can apply to my practice immediately; and I can listen and learn while I drive, fold laundry, etc. thanks for the research and resources!"

Mindy Booth, MA, OTR/L, CKTP

After spending most of her career as a school-based Occupational Therapist in Minnesota, Mindy, who is certified as a MA, OTR/L, was ready for a change. Having reached a point where she was very strong clinically, Mindy felt her skillset would be better utilized in a mentorship position—an aspect of her experience that she has always enjoyed. She first took a travel therapy position in Virginia with another agency and was subsequently selected as their OT/PT supervisor when they expanded into New York City. This path led Mindy to Tandym Group in 2015. Joining the company as the Senior Director of Clinical Services where she was responsible for direct service as well as supervision, she quickly recognized the need for a robust professional development program. Due to her efforts, the therapists we work with now have access to accredited education courses, setting-specific training and mentorship, networking events, clinical resources, and on-call support. Mindy is now an Account Executive with Tandem.

James Hook

After completing his education in Pennsylvania, James returned to his home in Long Island, NY to pursue his career. James started with Tandym Group in 2016 as a Staffing Manager on the Therapy Team, recruiting speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and assistant-level practitioners. As he grew to learn the nuances of the staffing industry, he took on additional responsibilities and was promoted to Director of International Healthcare. In this role, he was responsible for leading recruitment and managing the complex processes involved in sponsoring candidates from abroad to work with Tandym in the U.S. This included contributing to Tandym's University Outreach program, developing and presenting on navigating sponsorship and the transition from student to practitioner at partner universities across the country. With the emergence of COVID-19, Tandym Group responded quickly to the changing needs across the healthcare industry. James stepped in to help and was responsible for managing large COVID-19 projects in several states. This experience was rewarding, and in 2022, he accepted his current ongoing role as an Account Manager with Tandym's Locum Tenens division.
